The post editor
The list on the left, the article in the middle, and the tool panels on the right, with what locks the document and why.
Open Collections and click a collection: its posts open in the editor. (The collection's own page, the Control Room, is the icon on the card; Back to posts in its header brings you here again.) The editor has three columns.
Left: the post list
- All collections at the top goes back to the list of collections.
- New Post opens "What do you want to write about?", type a headline and Create Headline. Create Multiple Posts takes several headlines at once, one per line.
- The filter narrows the list: Assigned to me, Pending Review, Empty, Enhanced, not Published, Pending Enhance, Due Soon.
Middle: the article
A title field and the body. Write directly, paste, or let the tools fill it. A banner appears when something is working on the post: Writing the first draft… or Auto-Pen is orchestrating this post. The copy-link button next to the title gives you a link straight to this post.
Right: the panels
Each panel expands; the header has a control to open it full-screen.
Document: Metadata (cover image, due date, owners, author, tags, autonomy, and the slug, meta title, and meta description, each with a Suggest link) and Duplicate.
Writing Tools
- Auto-Pen: the one-click sequence (KB-302).
- Research: the research agent on its own (KB-206).
- Enhance: its Guaranteed passes run one collection policy on this post on demand (KB-303): Run brand mention now, Run visuals now, Run internal links now, Run external sources now, Run metadata now.
- Prompt: a per-post note to the writer.
Feedback
- Reviews: reviewers and their verdicts; invite a guest reviewer (KB-212).
- Comments: threaded comments on the post.
- Voice feedback: tell the platform what to keep or change about how this reads; it learns.
Social and Third-Party Posts: LinkedIn, X, and Companion, a post for each derived from this one, written in a chosen profile's voice (KB-216).
Publish: a line saying where the post is going (Publishing to Webflow., or a warning that no destination is connected), then Publish / Publish current version / Unpublish, the CMS button when one is connected (Publish to Webflow, then Update to Webflow), the Paper trail card listing the sources the post cites (open it before publishing and it checks which of the sources on file the current draft uses; Recheck after edits), and last the Live URL used for performance tracking (KB-211).
What locks the document
The post is read-only while a tool owns it:
| Banner | Who has it | Until |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-Pen is orchestrating this post | Auto-Pen | The sequence finishes or you cancel it |
| A writing kernel is composing this post. Editing is locked until it finishes. | A kernel run (15 to 20 min) | The run finishes |
Leaving the page is fine; the work continues. Starting a second tool while one owns the post is refused with a message naming the first.
Versions
Every save and every tool result is a version. The history icon in the editor toolbar opens version history; preview any earlier version and restore it. Publishing snapshots the current version as the live one; later edits don't change the live version until you publish again.
